Fuge Sausage

‘Fuge’ pronounced fooj has been Founder, Steve Furgiuele’s, nickname since grade two. His last name proved difficult to pronounce for people, so the nickname stuck and here we are.

Steve's father immigrated from Italy to Canada in 1961, fostering Steve's love for traditional Italian values and food. He grew up with a strong connection to garden-fresh ingredients and homemade wine, all while embracing the "Eat good, because one day you might not be able to eat" motto.

Steve's culinary journey led him to Edmonton, where he joined the Culina group. His passion for crafting exceptional sausage and charcuterie led to the creation of "Fuge Fine Meat." In 2018, he briefly partnered with Otto Food & Drink, continuing his culinary exploration.

In mid-2022, Steve, Gavin, and Braede, friends who shared a love for food and community, decided to revive Fuge Fine Meat as "Fuge Sausage." With Steve's culinary talent, Gavin's operational expertise, and Braede's community focus, they are dedicated to crafting outstanding sausages.
