Rangeland Bison

Rangeland Bison and Elk was started in 2000, by Swiss immigrant farmer / rancher Armin Mueller. Arriving in Canada at the ripe age of 21 Armin had a deep love and romance for the the Canadian west. Coming from a dairy background Armin ventured into what he at that time knew best and so built up a successful dairy herd west of Lacombe Alberta; however something was missing and over time he realized he had a deeper desire to work even closer with nature. As a child Armin was always fascinated by the stories of the Wild West and so one day an opportunity presented itself and he decided to listen to his childhood dreams and spontaneously bought 400 bison cows! He was now in the Bison business with a herd that was growing. At the time of Armin’s purchase the Canadian Bison business was still in its infancy and the market for Bison meat was just developing… It was a new challenge that Armin grabbed onto and through it emerged Canadian Rangeland Bison and Elk.
