Steve & Dan's

Steve & Dan's Fresh BC Fruit isn't just a business; it's a family legacy born out of love for farming and fresh produce. Our story starts with our parents, Alvin and Helena, who immigrated to Canada from a small town in Portugal. Both families were farmers back home, and that passion continued in British Columbia, where they founded Souto Farms.

We, Steve and Dan Souto, saw a gap in the market – Albertans needed a taste of BC's fresh fruit bounty. With farmers' markets just taking root, we were pioneers, starting Steve & Dan's as a family-run venture in 2002. We brought delicious Souto Farms fruits to Alberta, and over time, expanded our offerings to include produce, juice, and snacks from other BC and AB farmers.

Today, we're still a small, family-run business serving 23 Alberta markets weekly. We've grown from hardworking fruit sellers to a trusted source of fresh, local goodness. We know people love to know the story behind their food, and we invite you to learn more about our farmers, products, and collaborations.

With every bite of our juicy peaches, crisp apples, or sweet pears, know you're supporting a family business dedicated to quality. We pour love and respect into everything we do, and we owe it to you – our customers – for allowing us to bring a taste of BC to Alberta kitchens.

From our family to yours, thank you for choosing Steve & Dan's!
